San Diego Cares is a celebration of giving life that brings together local businesses, blood donors, volunteers and philanthropists to help save lives during a critical time of year.

From November 15 through January 15, the San Diego Blood Bank is asking San Diegans to join us in donating blood, hosting a blood drive, attending an event, or spreading the word about the critical importance of blood donation.

During the holiday season, the local blood supply is at risk of dropping to critically low levels. Regular blood donors may be traveling or have busy schedules. This, in tandem with cold and flu season, contributes to a depleted blood supply.

Your participation in San Diego Cares will help us save the lives of more than 100,000 local hospital patients.
